Monchique

Monchique is a mountain área in the Middle of West-Algarve with the highest hills of the entire Algarve. It is known for its natural water springs, Medronho liquor, the ruin of a 17th century convent, and many thermal treatment centers, a perfect spot for luxurious relations.

In the center of the village, you can enjoy a magnificent view from the Miradouro in São Sebastião park, visit the Matriz de Monchique Church dating from the early 16th century, and the Convent of Nossa Senhora do Desterro.

The place is a combination of natural beauty, history, culture, and good gastronomy namely honey, sweets, and liquor.
